El nuevo testamento
El nuevo testamento is a collection that reconfigures spirituality, desire, and Black identity through poems that are both intimate confessions and urgent declarations. Brown reimagines biblical language and Christian tradition, transforming inherited narratives into vehicles for exploring contemporary Black queer experience, violence, love, and survival. With striking formal innovation—including his invention of the "duplex," a hybrid poetic form—these poems pulse with musicality while confronting brutality with unflinching honesty. Brown's voice is at once tender and defiant, crafting a new gospel that demands we reconsider faith, masculinity, and what it means to bear witness in America.
