As a space for gathering and exchange, Como un lugar offers a series of workshops for people interested in exploring their connection to language. Through participatory methodologies, Como un lugar’s workshops explore the intersections between poetry and other forms of creative expression, including music, cooking, spirituality, and critical thought.
Each workshop is facilitated by a guest artist who has developed their practice or research around these themes. Through a broad and diverse programming, Como un lugar seeks to reach our diverse Spanish-speaking audiences, and to demonstrate the many ways of connecting with words and language. Our workshops are also spaces for community building, and for fostering encounters grounded in care, solidarity, and shared exploration.
