On October 18, 2025, we celebrated the sixth edition of our Fiesta de la Poesía Latinoamericana at Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, an evening of readings, performances, and music bringing together voices from across Latin America and the diaspora.
The evening featured readings and performances by seven poets: Jean La Fossé (Puerto Rico), Natasha Tiniacos (Venezuela), Karen Villeda (Mexico), Juliana Rozo (Colombia), Giancarlo Huapaya (Peru), Neronessa (Dominican Republic), and Gabriela Borrelli (Argentina).
We closed the night with a concert by one of our favorite local bands, Pinc Louds — a bilingual, gender-bending band that blurs the lines between atmospheric pop, nostalgic synthwave, and ethereal bolero. Led by Puerto Rico-born Claudi, they weave English and Spanish lyrics into lush synthesizers and introspective harmonies, evoking luminous skies and shifting emotional landscapes. DJ Calle Luna took over the decks to keep the fiesta alive.
